Parenting support

The Family Hubs team recognise bringing up children is one of the hardest jobs in the world. We are here to help. Children don't come with an instruction manual, so when it comes to parenting, how do you know what’s best and what works?

You as a parent or carer do a fantastic job. However, all families face difficult and challenging times. Often you can find help from family or friends, but if you need a little bit of extra support, we are here for you.

The activities our Family Hubs offer give you the opportunity to meet and chat to other parents and carers who have children at a similar age or stage to yours.

We also offer focused sessions for parents and carers like you. They can help give some guidance when you need it.

We have a number of parenting courses available.

You can find information on some of these courses below -

GroBrain Baby Course

Grobrain baby book

The GroBrain Baby Course is for parents of babies pre-birth to 12 months. It focusses on bonding and brain development - the vital part parents and carers play in ‘wiring up’ the connections in their baby’s brain in the first 1001 critical days of life. This ‘brain wiring’ lays the foundation for emotional wellbeing and the way emotions can be in later life.
