Every Mum Matters

Having a baby is a major life event for mums and dads. It’s natural to experience a range of emotions during and after pregnancy. But if these feelings start to have an impact on day-to-day life, it’s time to talk to someone.

Every Mum Matters campaign has launched in -

  • Hull
  • East Riding of Yorkshire
  • North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire

Every Mum Matters is here to help -

  • support new and expectant mums and their families
  • to recognise symptoms of perinatal mental health problems early
  • encourage mums to seek help

The Perimental Health Team can help you find out more about specialist community perinatal mental health service and how they can support you.

If you have any concerns

If you are experiencing perinatal mental health problems, speak to a -

  • friend
  • relative
  • health professional
  • midwife
  • health visitor

If you’re worried about how a -

  • partner
  • loved one
  • friend
  • colleague

is doing, take the time to check if they might need some support. Recognising how someone is feeling can help them on their way to feeling better.
