Stronger Relationships Help Children and Families Grow

Arguments between parents are normal, it's how you resolve them that matters. Visit relationshipsmatter.org.uk

When adults have kind, healthy relationships, it helps everyone — especially babies, children, and young people.

In families where people get along, talk nicely, and solve problems together, children feel safe and happy. This helps them grow up strong, confident, and ready to learn.

Babies in calm, loving homes can sleep better, cry less, and feel more secure. Children and teens in healthy families often do better in school, have more friends, and feel less stressed.

Young people also learn by watching adults. When they see parents or carers speak kindly and treat each other with respect, they learn to do the same in their own lives.

Helping adults build good relationships is one way we can make our whole community better. Support and advice are available to help parents and carers listen to each other, manage stress, and work as a team.

Healthy families help children feel loved, safe, and ready for the future — and that’s good for everyone.
