Family Hub at Mersey

Mersey family hub provides support, advice and offers sessions and activities to local families. The staff working in the family hub will work in partnership with you and your community. They will guide you in finding the right help from different services in the area.

Most of the sessions take place during term-time only. Check with your local Family Hub before attending during school holidays.

Sensory Session 

A session for children aged 0-3 years to excite the senses. Children can explore the world around them using touch, taste, smell, sight and hearing.

An introduction to mini sports and athletics for young beginners. Suitable for children aged 2 to 5 years. Just turn up.		 St Stephens Neighbourhood Centre £1
  1.00pm to 2.00pm Baby Yoga
A relaxing class which uses gentle stretches and movements for you to do with your baby alongside music, song and rhyme. From 14 weeks to crawling. Booking is required.		 Marfleet Family Hub £1
Tuesday 9.30am to 10.30am Busy Babies
A free-play session for children 0 to 12 months with sensory play, outdoor opportunities, and singing time.		 Mersey Family Hub £1
  10.00am to 11.30am House of Light Grow together
Free to all pregnant parents with monthly drop-ins from the midwifes and doulas. Come along to make new friends and support each other through your pregnancy journey.		 Marfleet Family Hub Free
  10.00am to 12pm Employment and Benefit Drop In

  11.00am to 12.30pm Mud and Rainbows
Bring your toddler to a mixed session including - indoor messy and sensory play; singing; and outdoor time. Promoting toddlers' brain development, and early language skills.		 Mersey Family Hub £1
Wednesday 10.00am to 11.00am Nature Learners
An outdoor session where children can explore messy sensory activites and natural resources through free play and activities. For children up to 24 months old.		 Marfleet Family Hub £1
  10.00am to 11.00am Baby Massage
This is a 5-week course that supports with - bonding and attachment, colic, teething, speech and language, and muscle development. Contact the Family Hub as booking is required for this session.		 Marfleet Family Hub £5 for full course

Mini Rugby 

Rugby themed activities run by Hull KR. Suitable for children aged 2-5 years. Just turn up!

Tots Tumble

An introduction to gymnastics and cheerleading for young beginners. Suitable for children aged 2-5 years.

Stay and Play

A drop-in session for parents/carers to have a chat and refreshments whilst children and babies play. A range of professionals will be invited weekly to answer questions.
